Restoring Florida’s Greatest River

Starts With You

For decades, the St. Johns River has been in a constant state of decline.

We want to change that.

What happened to the Mighty St. Johns?

Declining water quality, catastrophic weather events, exotic species, mismanagement using antiquated methods; all have contributed to a general decline in fish and wildlife habitat on the St. Johns River.

Continued collapse of submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV) and the lowest gamefish numbers on record illustrate a system out of balance, and one deserving greater attention from our resource managers.

Together, we will earn a place at the table.

Why Now?

The St. Johns River represents one of the last remaining wild corridors in central Florida, yet fish and wildlife habitat continues to decline. Management practices remain unchanged. We need to address the problems NOW, before it’s too late.
